The Group meets on the first Tuesday of every other month starting in September each year.
Our meetings start at 10.30am and finish by 12pm. We generally have a speaker whose subject relates to Diabetes and there is always time for catching up with each other to exchange experiences. The Group meets at: Health Promotion Room Gosport War Memorial Hospital Bury Road Gosport PO12 3PW

A new group for families who have a child or teenager with diabetes.
This is a community of people with diabetes, family members, friends, supporters and carers, offering their own support and first hand knowledge. Start with diabetes help and support if you are new to the site.
Diabetes UK has produced this e book that you can get by filling in the online application, The book is full of tips written by people living with diabetes, for people living with diabetes. Covering everything from going on holiday to eating out, working out and managing diabetes with work, relationships and more, it’s packed full of useful tips and handy hints for every part of life with diabetes. Sugarbuddies is a peer-to-peer support group for people aged 18+ who have been diagnosed with diabetes. Our aim is to offer you friendly and understanding support, from people who know exactly how you are feeling. We are here to listen, not to tell, and to hopefully have some fun along the way. We can teach you all you need to know about your diagnosis and answer the burning questions you may have through our lay education programme.
DESMOND is the collaborative name for a family of group self-management education modules, toolkits and care pathways for people with, or at risk of, Type 2 diabetes. Educational days are run by educators and health care professionals to deliver advice, support and steps in self-management of type2 diabetes
Type 2 Diabetes and Me is an interactive online course to help people with Type 2 diabetes understand and manage their condition successfully. It was developed by Diabetes UK, in partnership with Bupa. See link below or you can go to the Diabetes UK website and search for Type 2 Diabetes and Me.
